Currently the National
Occupational Standards have not been set for training as a
commercial energy assessor, however CLG has invited the existing
accreditation centres to apply for CEA or NDEA (Non-Domestic Energy
Assessor) for approval under the scheme. A CEA is also required to
undertake training for air conditioning systems inspection.
It is anticipated that
many if not all current assessment centres will apply for the
scheme.
